Can't copy large files to my new flash drive

I just picked up 16gb flash drive. It's FAT32 formatted.

I am attempting to move some large files from my XP Pro work pc. The flash drive is completely empty, but when I try to move a 7.5 gb video file, I get a "Disk Full" error.

Any ideas on what I can do?

I tried reformatting the flash drive to NTFS, but I got a "Windows could not complete the format" error, so I formatted it back to FAT32.

I don't think there is anything you can do. FAT32 won't allow anything larger than 4GB and you cannot format a flash drive to NTFS, unless there is some hack utility out there I'd say you're SOL.

Unfortunately I think you're right.

I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the link!

WinRAR will also let you split the file into multiple volumes. It's under Options, Settings, Compression, Create Default...
