mac book or mac book pro

Hello everyone.
I have a question....I am going to get a laptop in the next few months. I have been a pc user forever and am planning to get a mac just as a second computer. I am looking at the high end new mac book $1499 and the low end mac book pro $1999.
Really all i am planning to do is internet, photo editing, movies, some games (monopoly, card games etc nothing to graphic) and itunes.

What are your opinions?

Thanks!

Save the $500 and get the MacBook. It is plenty fast for those tasks listed. The only reason to get the MacBook Pro is if you want the bigger screen.

I love my MacBook!

I guess it depends what games you want to play, but most of what you listed is easily accomplished on the Macbook.

Ditto. I'd love a bigger screen, but my MacBook (I have the $1099 model) is more than sufficient for what I use it for (email, desktop publishing with CS2, photo editing, web browsing, etc.).

Unless you plan on running a really powerful app, I'd go for the MacBook.
