It's refurbished with 1 year warranty. If it doesn't break in a year it probable will last a while right? It's a newest gen ipod nano.

you can buy a new one for $143.00 at circuit city. So you decide if you want to save $53.00...

sounds like it...

Yes, it's a good deal. It's 2/3 the price of a new unit. Now if the refurb was $50 cheaper than the new one and they sold for $500, it'd be a different story!

I went for it. If I had bought it at the Apple store, it would have been 4 gig refurb + 2-year AppleCare Plan + tax = $181.02, so that's about $90 per year

So in Apple owners' experience, if it lasts a year, it will last 3-4? I take good care of my electronics.

You could have bought the same refurb at buy.com for 99 + free shipping & no tax. Buying a warranty on a sub $100 item doesn't make much sense. Or even less if you have one of the $20 off $100 coupons from google checkout floating around right now.

Buy.com $99.99 - $20 coupon + $10 1-year warranty = "Is a 3G 4 gig iPod Nano for $90 a good deal?"

Buy.com only has a 60-day warranty.
