It was unresponsive for me this morning, but I got in fine just a while ago. I've moved most of my correspondents over to my gmail address, but I've had my original HoTMaiL account for over a decade and it's hard to let go.

Poop, it's down again.

It is for me too. All I get on my status bar is connecting to login.live.com. I believe it's the entire MS network since even Xbox.com isn't loading for me.

Down for me and I think I'm going to make the swtich over to gmail permanently. Everyday it goes to the classic version because something is always wrong. I'm just sick of it not working and this is the third day in a row where I haven't been able to get my mail.

"I'm finished!" to quote Daniel Plainview.

I have no problems using the messenger. It even shows me the e-mails I am getting but I can't log in to get the mails.

I just got into my hotmail account. Let's hope they fixed whatever the problem was.

It was down, but it seems to be up now. Wonder what happened? The page seemed to have been slow for a few weeks.

Hotmail suffers worldwide outage

Hotmail users around the world are having trouble gaining access to their e-mail accounts as Microsoft Corp. wrestles with technical difficulties.

Web surfers have also reported some are unable to log on to other services that require a Microsoft login, such as the Xbox Live game community site and the Windows Live Messenger.

Microsoft confirmed the problem was international in scope, but did not say how many people were affected or when a resolution was expected.

“We're having some sporadic issues with the Windows Live login,” Microsoft Canada spokesman Paolo Pasquini said. “We'll be working as fast as possible to get up and running.”

Although Mr. Pasquini couldn't say just how many users, or how many countries, were affected by the intermittent blackouts, reports from blogs and chat rooms around the world cited problems with Microsoft's Windows Live portal, which provides users with access to the company's Hotmail e-mail service.

Mr. Pasquini said Microsoft had a dedicated team working to rectify the problem.

Windows Live Hotmail is available in 36 languages and boasts more than 280 million users worldwide, according to the Microsoft website
I still cannot pay my way in to hotmail or live messenger.

I had the same problems yesterday early afternoon but none since. Seems like there should be an e-mail sent out with some kind of explanation or apology for all the hiccups the last 24-48 hours.

Well, at least I know I'm not alone. But I have 2 accounts.. one I can get into, the other as of yesterday I cannot. I was really freaked out by it because it won't accept my password anymore, and now I'm "locked out". Anyone have any ideas/updates about what the heck is going on?

Still no problems here. However, I haven't been able to access Hotmail for months through Firefox. Not sure what's up with that.
