I used to get maybe 2-3 spam messages a day, the rest would get blocked. Now I get about 2-3 per hour. Pissing me off.

Are you reporting the spam or are they already showing up in the junk folder?

It's been going on for awhile for me. I think they're trying to get people to switch to premium.
The bulk mail folder is 100x worse now too.

I report the ones that show up in my regular folder as spam. It still filters a bunch into the junk folder, but it's not catching things like it once was.

DT, mine has been awful lately. It's pretty much made one of my accounts unuseable.

Mine was working too well today. I found one of my Yahoo alerts in Bulk.

Mine is pretty bad as well, I'm about ready to ditch this account, and I have the premium one.

I think I ditched Yahoo e-mail back in 2001 ... and I don't think I regretted the move.

Not sure that this is the cause, but there's an article on slashdot that says Yahoo's CAPTCHA system has been broken. They're claiming a 35% accuracy rate for their software which is certainly good enough for a spammer to create fake accounts as quickly as Yahoo can shut them down.
