Need help identifying startup item

While reviewing my HijackThis log I noticed a reference for "hpbdfawep" - what is this exactly? I haven't been able to find much info on it and the one thing I came across online mentioned it as possible malware. Can someone please fill me in?

Also, one other question. Is it strange to have an unnamed item in my startup list in msconfig? It lists a location, but under the 'name' and 'command' headings it's completely blank. Just curious.

The Google results don't seem to contain anything informative.

Open your task manager and see if the process is currently running. If it is, right click on it and select "properties"; if it's not, search for it on your hard drive and do the same. This should bring up information on what it is and where it's from.

Okay I found it and it does appear to be a legitimate HP application, although I have no idea what it does. What threw me was the location listed in msconfig. It said "C:\Program Files\HP" when it's actually in "C:\Program Files\Hewlett Packard" (I have both listings in my Program Files). I do have a HP laserjet so it probably is something associated with that, although my computer is also a HP and so is my scanner so who knows...

Btw, what about my second question? Is it unusual to have an item with nothing listed under the 'name' and 'command' headings in my startup list in msconfig? I've never come across one that's just completely blank like that before.
