How do I open PowerPoint lecture notes without PowerPoint?

I really need to be able to view and print these PowerPoint (PPTs) lectures but do not have the PowerPoint program or the money to purchase it right now. How can I view or open these files to print them?

You have 2 free options that I know of...

Download Microsoft's PowerPoint Viewer.
Download OpenOffice.org (this is a full MS Office-compatible suite)

There's also the an option in PowerPoint that allows the creator of the file to 'Package for CD'. It will let non PowerPoint owners to view the presentation using their viewer. Don't know if you can print it though.

Re: How do I open PowerPoint lecture notes without PowerPoint?

Since this is solved, I have a similar question:

Is there a decent free .eps viewer out there?

Google Docs will open PowerPoint also.

Ghostscript with Ghostview should be able to show eps files.
