Can you run video out on an iPod?

I want to download some Little Einsteins for my kid, but the little iPod screen is too small to watch. Possible to run the video out to our portable DVD player?

I'm pretty sure you can. I think monoprice has a cable that has a composite out.

I don't have my iPod with me to give you specifics on what the exact setting is called, but I'm pretty sure you just need to enable "video-out" and then get a cable as mentioned above (it plugs into the headphone jack and has composite-out on the other end).

Yes, assuming your portable DVD player has input jacks. You'll just have to buy the right kind of cable, which varies depending on your model of iPod. Some use the earphone jack, others use the dock connector.

Sort of fan addendum to my question (thanks for the responses):

Can you burn the videos you download to a CD or DVD and play them in a DVD player? Maybe that would solve my problem.

Not videos you purchase off the iTunes store.
