playing Ipod in car?

I just had a Harmon Kardon drive+play installed in my car to listen to my Ipod while driving. I have a factory deck which does not have a direct aux connection. It sounds good, but it still seems like it is muted in some songs, or just not as vibrant. Some radio stations still sound more crisp and lively. Does anyone know if there is an equalizer setting in the Ipod or the HK interface that can improve the sound quality? Any other suggestions appreciated.

I believe you can set equalizer settings per song in itunes. If it's only "some songs", as you state, change the settings in itunes. That way, everything else still sounds good in your car.

I've never had good luck getting an FM modulator to sound very good. It may at times, but it is so hit and miss.
