LCD screen burn in?

Through programs like media player, some webpages, and desktop picture it leaves a faint image of itself when i minimize the screen when i've let it sit for a little bit.

for some reason my screen saver does not enable although i enabled it on the property settings.

i thought LCD's don't get burn in???

LCD's can't get burn-in. Is the "faint image" permanent? Or does it go away after some seconds? or minutes? or when you make a new image on the screen?

LCDs don't have burn in, but they can get what's called "image persistence."

How long is this "little bit" that you're letting it sit. A few minutes, hours, days?

If you can't get your screen saver to work, you should get in the habit of turning your monitor off whenever you walk away from the PC.

ok. I guess faint image then...

ie- i watch a movie using media player, not in full screen, it will leave a faint image of the controls (volume, etc.) on the bottom part of the screen if i open up a web browser.

thanks for the link Jay.

It's stupid wireless mouse responsible for that. I noticed it won't enable it when I bought the wireless mouse. Till I bought a new keyboard/mouse combo from Microsoft (the Wireless Entertainment with bluetooth), the screensaver started working.
