Wireless Router booster antenna needed - recommendations

I installed a Linksys WRT300N wireless router in a building and there is an area the antenna will not reach. A bit difficult to run cable the entire distance (with 12 inch thick block walls) I can run a CAT5 cable through a drop ceiling for about 40 feet or so where I would like to set a booster antenna to broadcast a signal the rest of the way (another 60 feet or so) to a wireless laptop.

Does this sound like a good idea or is there a better solution?

I don't think the CAT5 is going to help you extend an antenna. But you could use the CAT5 to connect between your wireless router and another one used as an access point.

Is it possible to set up a second router off the primary router?

Sure. Everything going out wireless also goes through the router's ethernet ports. The ethernet ports of both units connect the two. The second router (used just as an access point since it's not connected to cable or DSL) can also broadcast what's going along the ethernet.

Curiious how to set it up. What address would it have as most have 192.168.1.1 and if I called that up, which would change, the first or second router?
