Digital Pictures - Date & Time

I didn't switch the option off in the camera settings, and now the date is covering some of my tight shots. Is there any way to remove this, or am I stuck with it?

On my Canon Powershot, once the date-time stamp is embedded, you cannot remove it. I suppose you can use software to edit it out, but it can't be done with the camera.
