Computer Question

Hello all. I recently ordered a new computer and it has an ATI Theater 650 PRO Combo Analog/Digital TV Tuner with Remote Control, and Windows Vista Ultimate. How would I go about watching tv on this? Can I use an antenna and watch OTA or would I have to use a cable box?

If you have a cable box, you can connect the s-video or composite video out to the same input connector on the card. Do the same with the audio out. Then use the software that comes with the card to detect the channels. An over the air antenna would work too, but the picture quality might not be as good.

You can connect an antenna, you just won't get all the channels your cable box gets.

Also, here's a massive and informative thread about the card:

Wow, thanks a lot. Ill read over that info. I dont really need all the channels I get on my cable box but more than few channels would be nice.

Couldn't you just connect your cable line to the card? It will be analog-only because I think the hardware in the cable box is proprietary for digital, but you should still have the analog line active.
