Help me buy a cheap computer case that doesn't suck.

I'm putting together a new computer and I'd really like to the get the most bang for my buck, which means I'd really like to spend as little as possible on the case. I just want a case that kinda looks decent. Anyway, here's what I'm looking at right now.

If you have any better suggestions, please let me know. It doesn't have to be at Newegg either.

Well if you want something cheaper...

But seriously, 50 bucks for something like that seems to be a good bargain. You might want to chip in a few more bucks for a better power supply though.

Do you need a power supply with it?

I'm a fan of Antec's, but that will double the cost probably.

It's a bit more, but I just purchased one of these for a client and was very impressed with the quality of construction and materials used - it's a Lian Li, so that goes without saying.

Just get a plain jane case, if it's what inside that matters most. You could probably even grab one for cheap from a Goodwill or something. In keeping with your approach, buy a sold power supply separately.

^ Cardboard PC case, neat. But I don't see no vent holes on it.

If you truly don't care, check www.frys.com for deals, where AR your case is free. I did that with mine. Free shipping as well.

If you can wait, Newegg.com puts the cheaper coolermaster cases on sale regularly W/free shipping

I got an elite, shipped for $30 (no PS, but I wouldn't use a packaged PS anyway)

You just have to be patient and watch the deal sites like obese wallet, slick deals, and that guy named ben and his site.

BTW - I am extremely happy with the cheap coolermaster case.

Cooler Master makes nice budget cases, I used this one for a while and was quite happy.

Yup I have that very case as well, and definitely recommend it. Tool-less design, which is always nice. Front is a mesh screen, so you get great airflow for cooling. 1300 reviews and average is 5 stars, not too shabby..

Considering the value of the power supply that is in here, this is not a bad deal with the free shipping

$111 right now

I have one of these and was disappointed I couldn't use it for my latest build. I needed one more hard drive slot. But it's a pretty nice case, especially for the price.

The only thing I didn't like was the ports, including audio, were at the bottom of the front.

We just received a handful of those from Intel. Nice cases. I like the Sonata 3 as well.
