i forgot to get a dvd burner on my dell 9200 now i need to find one

I believe that the Dell's being sold now only have SATA connections, so you need a SATA burner (or an IDE burner with an IDE adapter). Here are some on Newegg:

Can't attest to the quality of any of the drives, but they seem to have good reviews. I don't believe any come with software, not even the retail Lite-On according to the specs.

Like wetsprockets said, you need to find out what kind of connection you can use (either SATA or IDE) then head over to newegg. FWIW I just bought 2 of the Pioneer 18x DVD buners (IDE version) at Newegg and they are really nice. Since they are OEM you get zero software so you may have to pick that up separately.
