Looking for good music recording software for PC

I didn't find anything on this in search, so...

I have one of the Magix packages for recording, but it's pretty complicated, and with my schedule, I've never had the time to mess with it, and the one time I did have the time, I wasn't able to get it to do anything. I have my Yamaha keyboard hooked up to the computer via a MIDI-to-USB cable, and I want something simple to record what I play. I don't know what kind of software is out there, but I'd like something as simple as just pressing record on a multi-track tape machine.

Does such a thing exist?

I'm sure the Magix program you have is pretty simple. You probably just have to setup your midi input (and midi out if you want it to play sound back through your keyboard instead of your computer's general midi), start up a new track set to record with the midi device assigned to it, and hit record.

Most sequencers work in very similar ways, whether it's Reason, Cubase, Logic, or whatever.
