For TV's and movies, 24" is too small for me. I'd rather watch 720p on my TV then 1080p on the 24".

Frankly its tits...lol. I set the res to 1920x1080 of the pc for when ever I watch high def be it something on hard drive or using my HD tuner in the pc. With the revision A03 all things pretty sweet with this monitor only real complaint I've seen is the component input quality kinda sucks. But I cant say first hand as I've never even used that input, its vga or dvi for me.

I've been using mine for few months now and pretty much love it , as a side note I HATE LCD's. Less black level than crt , ghosting few other things but this monitor handles all those issues fairly well. After doing months of research on lcd panels before buying, it comes down to every one has issues theres no one perfect one to get so. Waited for 20% coupon and pulled the trigger on the 2407. Im pleased with it.

Well, if there is no option for a bigger screen, I suppose it really doesn't matter. But am I understanding this correctly... you will be watching HD-DVD movies and playing the Xbox 360 in your office?

God damn it I posted a lengthy reply on this monitor as I been using it for a few months. Its 1900x1200 display, i set the pc into 1920x1080 to HD playback thats close enough to its native res I cant detect any bad things from text so I figure good enough for HD too.

Im not aware of any actual dvi problems and I frequent the dell forums watching over the post. There is an issue with component being not that great but I use vga and dvi only so doesn't mean much to me right now.

I hate LCD's for the obvious reasons but this is a fine display as long as its rev 03 you'll be fine. At this point you're 96% certain to get the rev 03.

Oh look in the other thread you probably started on this topic in the other part of the forums for my orginal reply.

Firmware update. Earlier version of the 2407 have some issue. The new revision fixes the bugs.

Oh let me add like almost every lcd panel I know the aspect ratio is 16:10 not 16:9 . But using powerdvd or mpc keep aspect ratio you wont really notice it on HD .ts files. On 360 you'd probably notice it slightly. Thats probably the biggest issue with it, that and maybe component inputs not being so hot, which I cant check.

You can't get the rev 03 update or any other update. They can only be updated by dell.

As for HDCP well , yes it does. But there is still a question of does it support 1080p HDCP.
