Please HELP ME GET RID of Google as my Homepage!

I'm Going CRAZY! A couple of days ago, I downloaded Google Earth. I'm positive that I unchecked the box that prompted me to make Google.com my default homepage, but it's become, and I can't get rid of it!
I uninstalled google earth, cleared cookies, cache, and everytime I start IE it's THERE AGAIN!

Anyone can please help me on this?

Um, I've done that. Changed it many times. And every time I do it, close my browser, and open a new one, Google is my homepage again.

if google did something like that i would go to run>type in regedit and delete all google entries.

but maybe with the "hijack this" program you can find/remove the thing that's causing it.

And you've clicked Apply and not just OK, right? Google doesn't have a reputation for hijacking other programs.

Are you going to File->Exit/Close, or just X'ing out? Sometimes settings don't take hold if you X out of a program. Make sure to do this for ALL open browser windows.

The sooner you stop fighting the Googassimilation, the easier the process will be.

Maybe it's one of those fake Google sites. Does it actually show up as www.google.com in the home page field in your settings? I would try a spyware scan.
