250GB NAS/printserver unit for $85 at buy.com

Use Google Checkout for $20 off the $105 price.

Looks pretty nice according to this review:

You can replace the 250GB with a larger drive too.

I couldn't help myself. I bought a second one.

With the RAID and expansion abilities this is going to provide some real tinkering opportunities.

Yeah, the ability to use two external drives will be a nice use of a couple drives I have sitting around.

BTW, did anyone else get charged shipping, even though it showed free on the product page?

You have to select the free shipping option (called like "budget" I think) at checkout. The default shipping option isn't free.

And you have to allow ActiveX to run for the change to free shipping to show that it was selected if you're using IE. Or use another browser which is what I'm doing for Google Checkout orders.

I'm using firefox, and on the google checkout page it doesn't give me the option at all for free shipping, just standard, second & next day. I canceled for now, for that, and since I can get $20 of of each if I order separately.

Interesting... Looks like the free shipping disappeared from it on Google Checkout even though buy.com still says free shipping.

Maybe it got too popular. I'd still pay the shipping though, and I already have to pay about an equivalent amount in tax.

I went through Google Check-Out in Firefox on my Mac and got the Free Shipping option.

Thanks X!

Is the "Google Checkout $20 off $50" reusable?

Free shipping is there for me also, now I just have to wait and make sure my cancellation request goes through.

No longer available from Buy.com, but linked through their partners at the higher price tag.

Hope mine goes through, still listed as sent to warehouse and my card has been charged.

I haven't gotten a notice yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

If you read earlier in the thread, he actually asked for the cancellation and then was going to rebuy with free shipping so don't worry about it.
