Problem with Router

The router in question is the D-Link DI-604.

I have always used it without a problem but now I cannot connect to the Internet at all with it. When I try to connect, the screen will come up with the "The line is connecting" but it still remains disconnected.

I have it set up properly and it has always worked before but I haven't used it in a few months. I was using Win 98 but since then upgraded to XP.

The website or manual was no help, any suggestions would be appreciated.

More info needed. What is it connected to, cable or DSL modem...what kind? The more info, the better.

I have it connected to a DSL Router. I always used it to play xbox on xbconnect. Here is a diagram of how it is set up

I am using setup B. I really think it is something in my settings that won't allow me to connect to the Internet. Like I said, never had a problem before.

Is the modem set to use PPP mode or Bridged mode? I had a hell of a time getting mine to work until I set it to Bridged mode, despite all of the instructions saying to use PPP.

I am not sure, I don't recall any of those options. Anyway I can check on that? My router I believe was set up with PPoE option
