Knoppix and internet?

For some odd reason I can only connect to www.dvdtalk.com using knoppix 5.0 dvd. All other sites are being refused according to the error message. Why might this be? I can connect to all sites normally in windows.

I'm trying to locate my old version of knoppix to see if that will work. I tried it in the past the last time my computer went bad and it worked great. This is the first time I used the 5.0 dvd.

I just remembered I have mandrake so I will give that a try next.

I just manager to screw up half the drives on my computer and now window can not read them and wants me to formate them. Lucky for me I can still read them under linux but I don't have anywhere to move the data to yet. My super duper 500 gb drive was late and won't get to me until next week.

You're running the Gkleinman Knoppix edition.

Same problem using mandrake 10.1. Guess I'll give the linux forums a try.

The breakout clone is really fun by the way.
