help with firefox

during the last couple of weeks we have been having issues with our firefox shutting down due instantly. it seems that if we try to scroll through pages before they are done loading it "encounters a problem and must shut down". it also seems to happen when we visit high-flash pages. we've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, upgrading to the newest versions of firefox and flash, etc. but nothing has worked.

anyone encounter this and is it some sort of virus we've caught? i'm using IE now as it seems to work fine (but i hate it).

many thanks in advance!!!!
