iTunes 7 question re: podcasts

This has been bugging me for a while, but now that I am running on iTunes 7, I want to address it.

My podcasts don't seem to be automatically updating as I think they should be. Here are the two screen shots of my iTunes:






I think I should be able to plug in my iPod to my PC, fire up iTunes, and *presto* the podcasts should automatically update.

What am I doing wrong (and no wisecracks on my Jim Cramer podcast, kthx)

click summary and check to make sure you don't have the iPod set to Manually Manage Music and videos.

Thanks, I had it set to manual.

Hopefully that will resolve the issue.
