gmail and outlook - some basic questions

I have finally starting using gmail. I love the fact that it can do both push and deletion with my BlackBerry. I would also like to use gmail with Outlook but can't figure out a few things.

1. Every time I send a message in Outlook through gmail, I get a copy of the message I sent delivered to my gmail inbox in outlook.

2. What is the best way to deal with the fact that gmail doesn't use folders?

3. Is there a way to make the gmail inbox only show non-labeled email? For example, when I apply the label "Online Purchases" to an email, can I make it only show up when I click the Online Purchases label?

4. Is there any way to reconcile my Outlook inbox with my gmail inbox (e.g. when I delete a message on Outlook, it is deleted in my gmail inbox)?

5. What is the best way to import email from my old account (fastmail IMAP account)?

Thanks for any info!
