Memory usage of Linksys wireless pci adapter

I installed a Linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter into my Dell tower running Windows XP over the weekend. I've noticed that the adapter uses an amazing amount of memory (as witnessed in the windows task manager) after about 12 hours of being on.

When the computer is first turned on, the router uses a "normal" amount of memory. After about 12 hours, it dwarfs any other process in memory usage. It uses so much that I get numerous "system is out of virtual memory" warning boxes and, eventually, my computer pretty much slows to a snail's pace.

I have no viruses or spyware on my machine; the windows task manager clearly shows that the Linksys process is the culpret.

Does anyone have any idea why it becomes such a memory hog? How can I fix this problem?

I suppose you could go to their site and see if there's a newer driver.
