Cheapest price for licensed Win XP?

I don't mind OEM, as long as the selling site is reputable... Pricegrabber.com doesn't help you at all, horrible prices!

Outpost has it for $79.99.

Doesn't appear to have SP2 though, so you'd have to download that.

Don't. Microsoft has started to ask eBay to start cracking down on unauthorized sales of OEM products.

You could create a new slipstream install CD though with SP2 included. I've done that since I have the original XP disc and I didn't want to waste time after a rebuild of having to redownload and install everything from SP2. See here for how: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...slipstream.asp

I am a college student studying (when I go to class ) computer science. I've checked the college's bookstore but how does an IT student get it for free?

I think it depends on your university/college more than anything, and I don't think it's a sure thing, either.

My brother went to the University of Iowa, and they could get XP Pro for like $7.00. I went to a university in Chicago, and my school had nominal discounts. So it goes.

It depends if your school is a partner with Microsoft, if they are then you can get it for free if you are a IT/CS student otherwise you can get discounted copies at the bookstore, I would check with your IT office for info.
