Several problems with computer (WinXP).

1. Ive got this pop up titled Virus Alert and I cant get rid of it. Its logo is the handicap sign but its green. It even has become my homepage.

2. When my computer starts up, AOL Explorer and two of my AIM accounts pop up automatically. This slows down things when starting up so how do I stop them from auto start up?

Thanx in advance

I'd check out this thread while you are waiting for replies.

As for problem 2. Go to Start --Run---type in MSCONFIG. Click on STARTUP. Uncheck the boxes that have anything to do with AOL and AOL messenger. Restart computer.

Do as the thread you got the link to says.

Download Ad Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy and also Windows Defender (from Microsoft).

I run all 3 on a regular basis and my machine seems healthy. Also make sure you have a virus program with up to date signatures.
