Computer BootUp Time

Lately it has been taking a REALLY long time to boot up my computer. Is there a way I can log how long it is taking the programs that are in my startup and/or speed up my bootup time?

I know of bootchart ( http://bootchart.sourceforge.net/) for Linux--something similar must exist for Windows as well.

don't know about logging but to modify those that start can do

msconfig and select the startup tab.

here is the site I use to check what things do.

ya, I know about MSConfig, but I want to see which program is doing it. I also don't want to have to uncheck everything, then slowly add one program at a time.

You can try Microsoft's BootVis which should optimize the bootup process for you:

Have used this myself in the past and seems to do a good job. I would defrag before using it however.
