Software to limit or lock users in windowsXP

I did a search and didn't find anything helpful so sorry in advance if this has been addressed previously. I am buying a new computer for work and want to let others use it but I don't want them changing any settings or even be able to screw with any portion of the operating system.

I would like to have 2 logins, one for me and one for guests....that is easy to do.

What I also want to do is lock the taskbar/control panel, etc and put shortcuts to everything they need on the desktop (such as shortcuts to specific programs we use, IE, and their individual-specific folders for document storage).

I have recently had such good luck with freeware/shareware suggestions here that I thought I would ask.

Thanks!

Can't Windows do that already? I mean, at my work, we sent rights for specific users. Most of them are classified under 'USER' and can not install anything without admin rights. Is this what you are talking about?

Yep, hopefully you got Pro and can use the Group Policy Editor. Lock it down big time.

Thanks to all for the input. I knew about the GPE but since I have never had to use it I didn't realize how much it would actually control.
