Help...rendered SD card "unusable"

Today I recieved my 4Gb SD card I've been waiting for. I opened the package, put it in my Kodak v530 digital and it said card was full. After a little research I realized it was because the card was formatted as FAT32 and not FAT16. I tried (using a media card reader) to reformat it as FAT16 and now it can not be recognized by my laptop's SD card reader as well. My question is...is the card done now or is there a way to reformat it to FAT32 and at least have a working 4GB SD card (even though it won't work in my camera).?

Please help.

In advance, thanks for all your help.

Mike

Can you put the card back in the camera and use the camera to format it?

Are you sure that camera can use a 4gb card?

I did find this, not much help though

Yeah..thought of that. It says the card is "unusable" now.

That's my problem. Before it was just not compatible....now its unusable.
