Anyone Here Use Sharepoint Services?

I've been given the task to figure out / configure sharepoint services for our org..

The main thing we really want to do is just have a centralized place to share documents (with security in place). I've been researching for a while and to be honest it's pretty overwhelming. Didn't know if anyone had any tips or if anyone here uses it.

Thanks!

We're about to go through the same thing, rolling it out this winter to a thousand faculty & staff, then next summer to forty thousand students, with a migration from NetWare/GroupWise to Windows Server 2003/Exchange thrown in just in case they thought we sere slackers.

Pray for us.

As team leader of the network engineers, I will try to steer and prod the others into doing most of the hard stuff while I update MS Project and attend meetings. Personally, I will be wrangling the migration of file & print services, antivirus/antispam, patch management, backups, and the student body portion of the move to Exchange. I'm gonna miss the stability and hands-off functionality of Netmail. We have Sharepoint up in a pilot run, but I haven't bothered to access it. I'll have a chat with the Sharepoint dude and see if I can find any tips for you.

I'd appreciate it.
