Hey,

You are recieving this email because you are a member of BlueSecurity
(http://www.bluesecurity.com).

You signed up because you were expecting to recieve a lesser amount of
spam, unfortunately, due to the tactics used by BlueSecurity, you will
end up recieving this message, or other nonsensical spams 20-40 times
more than you would normally.

How do you make it stop?

Simple, in 48 hours, and every 48 hours thereafter, we will run our
current list of BlueSecurity subscribers through BlueSecurity's database,
if you arent there.. you wont get this again.

We have devised a method to retrieve your address from their database,
so by signing up and remaining a BlueSecurity user not only are you
opening yourself up for this, you are also potentially verifying your
email address through them to even more spammers, and will end up getting
up even more spam as an end-result.

By signing up for bluesecurity, you are doing the exact opposite of
what you want, so delete your account, and you will stop recieving this.

Why are we doing this?

Its simple, we dont want to, but BlueSecurity is forcing us. We would
much rather not waste our resources and send you these useless mails.

Its simple, we dont want to, but BlueSecurity is forcing us. We would
much rather not waste our resources and send you these useless mails,
but do not believe for one second that we will stop this tirade of emails
if you choose to stay with BlueSecurity.
Just remember one thing when you read this, we didnt do this to you,
BlueSecurity did.

If BlueSecurity decides to play fair, we will do the same.

Just remove yourself from BlueSecurity, and make it easier on you.

mistake to sign up? or are spammers getting worried?

Spammers are such douchebags. "OMG, if you don't stop trying to stop us from spamming you, we'll spam you even more to get REVENGE!!"

You can find several intersting articles on Blue Security with a Google search. I have to say, I like the sound of what they're doing.

I've been saying it for years. Spammers won't stop until SWAT starts kicking down doors and PDs start confiscating equipment, cars, homes, and offspring.

that's the thing. since i signed up, my yahoo account has been bombarded with spam. "ooh, we have your email now and we know you don't like spam, so we're going to send you a lot more." but other "protected" email addresses haven't gotten any of these messages.

so, I don't believe that they've somehow hacked into the bluesecurity DNIR, they have to be spamming accounts that they already have email addresses for.

if spammers are fighting back, trying to scare BlueSecurity users away from the service, that just makes it obvious to me that BlueSecurity IS a threat and it IS working.

well, spammers spam because they make money and it's profitble.

they probably realize that if they send out 1,000,000 emails, and less than 10 people respond favorably, that's good. They know their yield is extremely low and they're counting on it. if they have to sift through 10,000 opt-out requests from BS to get to the 3 legitimate orders, they cuts into their profitability.

:( I'm hoping someone is pissed enough out there to keep up the fight.. its just plain scary that they can scare a company that much!

RoyalTea 05-17-06 10:16 PM

the fact that pharmamaster was so anti-blue frog makes it seem clear that blue security had a good idea to stop spam.

many spammers complied with the registry, I just can't see why one douchebag was so scared of cleansing his email list of people that would never buy the spamvertised products.
