Second hard drive won't show up in my computer.

I have a Quantum Fireball SLT 15 hard drive that I am trying to format. I have windows xp. It is hooked up as master on the secondary IDE with nothing else. I have also tried cable select. When I first put it in windows said it found and installed a Quantum FireballSLT15 storage device. The drive also shows up under "drives" in device manager. But it won't show up under My Computer. I also formated the drive in DOS using the maxtor utility. The bios also sees the drive. What can I try to get it to come up in my computer?

Right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Manage' then 'Disk Management.' This should give you a listing of all your drives and how they are formatted. From there you could possibly change the formatting if necessary, if it shows up, that is.
