what about www.google.com/calendar ?
they should both take you to the "log in to your account" screen similar to gmail

feature: you can have reminders and other notifications sent directly to your phone (settings -> notifications -> notify me on my cellphone)

The "quick add" feature is neat since you can say "lunch with bob noon tommorow", or "big meeting with widget devs next tue 3pm". However, it didn't add a reoccuring event when I tried "weekly review every fri 4pm".

What I find interesting is the little toolbar in the upper left corner. "google gmail calender more>>". It would be pretty neat to have that on every Google page (if logged in) such as Google Homepage, Google Page Creator, maybe add an Ajax-Write like program and have them all integrated with each other. I'm sure that's where they are going.

both adding to homepage and a link from within gmail are available now.
