Under safe mode, try to delete the following keys:

O20 - Winlogon Notify: ldr64 - ldr64.dll (file missing)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: winpdc32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winpdc32.dll

The two keys below should be deleted if you see SOUNDMAN.EXE fits the profile from this page: http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_101090.htm

C:\WINDOWS\SOUNDMAN.EXE

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SoundMan] SOUNDMAN.EXE

I also understand that the winpdc32.dll can make an attempt to disable your antivirus system so I suggest you do a fresh (and up-to-date if possible) install of your antivirus software.

Thanks, tried that, but no luck. I still have it.

Ok, so I just did a system restore (WinXP) and all appears to be well so far. Does that really get rid of it or would it just be hiding somewhere? I ask because when you do the restore it says that nothing will be deleted.

You can try to delete the SOUNDMAN.EXE and the windpc32.dll. If they can be deleted, then you're good to go.

When you said it didn't work when you tried to delete the keys, what happen when you re-scan the log with HiJackThis, are they still intact?
