Problem with installing Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 SP1

I'm running windows 2004 sp4, when I try installing this program I get the error:

INF install failure. Reason: Access is denied.

I tried turning off my antivirus and firewall and still it does not work.

Thanks

What is Windows 2004? Do you mean Windows 2000?

Are you logged in with an account that has administrator level permissions?

Something may be using MDAC while you're trying to overwrite it? Maybe turn off all running processes that you don't absolutely need running and try it again.
