How can I capture sound only from a dvd??

I want to get some sound clips from a dvd. I have a dvd player in my computer. Is their an easy way to do this? And are any programs available as freeware? I want the clips to be able to put on an ipod.

Thanks!

Techlogic Absolute MP3 Recorder. You can also record as a .wav file. It'll take a few tries for you to master the volume, though.

Hmm this guide is for Macs so prob won't help too much:

Oh, audacity also has FAQ in case you didn't see it:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq

Another tutorial, but seems for Linux and OGG files:

Ahh, this should do it, again from audacity's site, tutorials!

Have fun!
