check out the gallery on iskin.com, or over at ilounge.com...

personally, i just got my eclipse iskin evo3 for my black 60gb video yesterday, and i think it's great. will it save the ipod from a fall? probably not, but it offers great cosmetic protection with minimal size increase.. pretty much everything is covered, even the wheel, so you won't have to worry about dust, scratches, etc.. i'm very happy with it..

i have one for my 4G. While it may protect it somewhat, dirt gets trapped inbetween the ipod and the case itself and since its rubber it flexes and leaves marks all over the back of it. Also, the rubber makes it hard to slide in and out of your pocket. I'd look at a hard plastic or metal case.

I just want to see what it looks like on my black nano before I buy it. Any suggestions which color combo would look best?

I really like the tubes made by Apple. And they (all 5 colors) look really good with the black nano.

I have one for my IRIVER, the rubber acts like a magnet to lint, but it does protect the unit

Would those skins be able to prevent the known problem of the nano screen scratching or cracking?

This is what I have. It is clear and protects everything but the wheel.

Yes they prevent scratching. The iSkin for the nano is a two layer skin. In the picture above you'll notice that almost all of them are two toned. They inner skin protects the scroll wheel and only leaves an opening for the screen. The outer skin fits overtop of this and is open at the screen and the scrollwheel. There is a little plastic piece that fits between the two layers that protects the screen. This piece does not move around once it is in place (it can be moved, but does not just float around). The best part is that the screen protector rests on the inner skin, not on the ipod itself. This prevents it from scratching the screen. It also provides good visibility. So between the two layers and the plastic screen cover, the entire iPod is covered and should remain scratch free.

I have the carbon blast colored one on my black 4GB nano and I have been very happy with it. I also bought an iSkin for my 2nd gen iPod a couple of years ago and I still use it today. It has held up very well. They have improved the design with the two layers and screen protection (my 2nd gen screen got scratched pretty good).

I personally like the styling of it, and think it is a great buy.

Has this whole scratch issue been resolved or is Apple still in denial?

I've also read that they are now putting in an anti-scratch case with the Nano.
