MAJOR CPU problem

I woke up today to find that one of my data drives was deleted.......however NOBODY was on my computer since last night (was me) Is this some damn virus going around?? if so is there anything I can do to save my other drives or am I doomed?

Thanks for all the help!

Just to clarify, by data drives, you mean your hard disk drive right? If so does it show up in BIOS? If not, you should try opening up your computer and check if any of the cables popped out to your hard drive. Another possibility is that your hard drive is just dead. However, I'm sure there's usually noticable symptoms of oncoming hard drive failure, so I might be wrong on that point.
