Strange Boot problem when Ipod connected to USB

For some reason whey I have my Ipod Video connected when my computer boots it will hang. If I disconnect the Ipod and boot everything works perfect. What could be the problem causing this?

It could be your USB is on at boot time and the device isn't recoginzed or is conflicting with another USB device.

Try going into your BIOS and turn off USB Legacy Support or Enable DOS USB or Boot-time USB Support or whatever it's called. Unless you have a USB keyboard (or possibly mouse).

agreed. also check your boot sequence to make sure it's not trying to boot from the usb device.
