Cannot get rid of Adobe 5.0

everytime I click on a PDF document in IE or FF, Adobe 5.0 comes up. I have 6.0 installed on my PC, but for some reason I cannot get the browsers to recognize it.

Help. How do I tell IE and FF to open Adobe 6 when it sees a PDF.

Easy solution would be to uninstall all Adobe, remove the directory to ensure everything is gone, then reinstall Adobe 6.

Only I would say go ahead and install version 7 unless you are working something that MUST have 6 to function correctly.

i had the same problem on a server

I installed version 6, then went to the part where you tell Windows which file type is opened by which program and told it to use version 6. Problem solved.
