Best freeware FTP client?

Looking for a freeware FTP client recommendation...something like CuteFTP would be best. thank you!

I don't know about the best, but Filezilla works pretty well.

leetch FTP

But you really should take into account WHAT exactly you are connecting to. some FTP servers are picky about what clients can download from them correctly.

also, IE is an FTP client, just FTP:// instead of http:// to the FTP server

Filezilla for me. Looks just like FTP Voyager, only it works.

thank you all for the quick replies and suggestions. i decided to use filezilla - just like cute ftp, but faster and free. thanks

Yup, FileZilla is amazing. For an FTP Server, if you need one, try FileZilla Server, I've tried a few out there, FZS felt like the best one to me.

I use FileZilla too. I like the way it does multiple uploads.

smartftp is pretty foolproof. nagging, but no other limitations.

FireFTP or FileZilla. I use them both, though I find I use FireFTP a bit more just because I've already got Firefox open most of the time.
