Help with Word document formatting.....

Is there a way, using Word that I can underline “Alexandria, VA” without the underline being raised? (for some reason it's a bit lowered when posted in dvdtalk)

Ex. _________Alexandria_______

The first underlines are the shift+- key, whereas the “Alexandria” is done with control+u.

I am filling out an application and would rather do it electronically than by hand. Any ideas? I was thinking of saving it as a pdf, but that screws up the formatting and I still can’t figure out how to put text on top of the line. Thanks

Use tabs for the spacing (blank spots). Word will underline tabbed spaces.

No problem.
I'm sure there is also a preference setting where you can tell it to underline the spaces as well, but I don't have the patience to search for it this morning.
