Wireless Network Firewall Question

I'm trying to run a file sharing program from my pc with a wireless connection to my other pc with a cable modem. Both pc's are running XP.

I recently moved this pc upstairs when I got a new pc. The file sharing program always worked fine when directly connected to the cable modem.
But since I connected it to a wireless netwok it won't work. It says it can't access the internet and there is a picture of a firewall (red brick wall).

I have McAfee running but I checked all applications and this particular one has full access.

Does anyone know how to remove the firewall for this program ?

A red brick wall? That sounds like the icon for the Windows Firewall. Check your setting in the Control Panel to see if it might be the problem.

The brick wall is on the file sharing program.
I think the router is blocking the program.
How do you change settings on the router ?
