exporting bookmarks in firefox

is there a simple way to export bookmarks to an HTML file in firefox?

also, is there a program or website that i can share bookmarks with? like if i see a site, i would click on a button and the page would be bookmarked on another website.

If I view the file in Firefox, it looks just fine (as it's an HTML file) but if I view it in Notepad it's all messed up.

Same here with notepad - It looks like html headers and stuff, but there is a ton of gibberish in there, too.

Looks like the icons are embedded in there...

This is how I do it the first time around:

Export the bookmark from Firefox like usual
Open the bookmark HTML file with IE
Copy paste the bookmark to Open Office Writer
Save the pasted link to HTML format.

I think you can just open the HTML files from Firefox as well but I haven't tried it yet. I also have tried of just opening the bookmark with IE and saving it back to HTML, but it doesn't seems to work (the file I saved still have that encoded thing).

Well that was how I did it the first time it work. I haven't had the time to streamline the process or see whether another program works for this. However if I'm right, you can also use FrontPage, MS Word or just any other program that support OLE embedded clipboard. The idea of the process is just to select the link without the embedded icons, right?
