I need real quick help with RAM purchase

I am not very knowledgable about RAM - very confusing for me. I have a Dell Dimension 4600. I would like to upgrade the RAM to 1g. Will this RAM work well in the 4600? It is on sale only today.

Thanks for any help.

after reading that, I would say what you linked to at newegg.com will work just fine. IMO - patriot memeory is good stuff, so good for it.

I apologize in advance for asking the following really basic question:

The advertised memory above states: 1GB (2 x 512mb) dual channel kit.

Does that mean that the 1gb is comprised of 2 separate 512mb memory sticks (as opposed to just one 1gb stick)? I ask because the Dell 4600 wants matching sticks to be used in pairs.

Thanks.

Go for it - Patriot hasn't let me down yet (might upgrade to 4 GB in my main machine here when I finally get my X2 processor). Monarch was out of the Corsair I wanted and got me the Patriot for $40 cheaper and it runs flawlessly.
