Ever sell a cell phone on ebay?

I might be getting a new cell phone and would like to unload my nokia 5820 on ebay.. Question is there a way to blow away all info on it (phone #, pics) or should i just go 1 by 1 and delete stuff?

also, anyone have experience doing so? ever have any problems or tips?

Every phones has a reset option that will wipe out your phonebook and put the phone back to default.

Never sold a phone in eBay but I did buy one from eBay new.

yeah, i sold about 3 phones on there

your phone should have a master reset & a master clear option

only thing that probably wont be cleared is the cumulative timer

If your phone is GSM, make sure you copy all contacts to the SIM Card before delete all data, go to contacts, settings, memory in use, if it reads SIM, you can remove safety the SIM CARD and no contact data is in the phone, if reads PHONE then go back to contacts, select copy, and select COPY FROM PHONE TO SIM CARD, last is a option in all nokia phones, go to contacts, delete, delete all.

As ATX mentioned, be sure to do a master clear (will generally clear your contacts only) and also a master reset (factory default settings). But ALSO clear your text messages as the master clear does not generally clear that.

I've sold/bought about 20 cell phones in the past couple years. Always a great experience.
