If there was a 6 gig nano, i'd get that.
(but i agree with ChiTownAbs, Inc; are you a gamer or a just look for a music player. would depend on that.)

Somewhere, someone is right now inventing one that not only plays MP3s but is also a Cingular camera phone. But no one will buy it because the battery only lasts 18 hours.

it really depends on what you want to use it for. the ipod nano is a sweet mp3 player. the psp is a bit more versatile in its ability to play games, umd movies, ripped movies from the ms duo card.

Apples and oranges.

Personally, I don't think either is worth $249. But I'd lean toward the PSP as it does more and I don't really have use for a 2 or 4GB MP3 player. I'm fine with my 15GB Dell DJ (will by higher capacity someday) for everyday use and my 512MB MuVo flash player for workouts.

I have a PSP and my wife has the iPod nano.

$250 Sony PSP = 8 songs in your fanny pack
$250 Apple iPod nano = 1000 songs in your small pocket

If you're looking to listen to music the nano beats the PSP out of the box.

$250 Sony PSP cones with 0 games
$250 Apple iPod nano comes with 4 so so games

If you're looking to play games the nano beats the PSP out of the box.

Hey...wait a minute...the PSP must be good for something without adding the extra cost of software or memory cards.

I think if I had the choice I would go with the nano because of my large CD collection, but unfortunately I bought my PSP back at launch. Don't get me wrong. I play my PSP, but not as often as I'd like because it doesn't fit in any of my pockets and I don't have a fanny pack. Plus the good games haven't come out yet.
