New computer question

I recently purchased a new computer. How do I transfer my files over to my new computer?

If you have a hub, you could move the files from one networked PC to the other. You could also use some sort of USB device like a HD or one of those USB flash drives or jump drives to move some over at a time. I've seen 256MB for $30. It's a neat little tool.

You could pull the hard drive out of the old computer and put it in your new computer to copy over what files you need then put it back (or leave it in for more storage space).

Their are programs you can buy that come with a USB cable and software to hook two computers together and transfer files. The software is a little price though, $50 or so most places.

So the above options are more cost effective.

If there are not alot of files then a flash drive as mentioned above by VinVega is the way to go. Plus you have a flash drive which has alot of uses after the files are transferred. If you are talking about several gb's of data then either burn the files to a dvd/cd or get the software/hardware mentioned by Josh to transfer the files via usb.
