Mozilla/Adobe .pdf help needed

I am having a problem when clicking on links to .pdf files in mozilla. Instead of adobe acrobat opening and displaying the file I just get a newly opened blank mozilla window. Using winXP here, thanks for looking.

I never had that problem (in firefox), but for some reason Firefox never handled PDF files very well. I have an extention (IE View) for firefox that you can set to open certain links in IE. I have it set up to open *.pdf in IE.

I'd rather not have to use IE. Thanks though, anyone else have a suggestion?

in mozilla's address bar type "about:plugins" without the quotes.

Is an Acrobat plugin listed?

I've got this... so maybe the old version you are running that's causing the issue (?)

File name: nppdf32.dll
Adobe Acrobat Plug-In Version 7.00 for Netscape

Hmm, that could be part of the problem. Also, check under your download settings in the Mozilla preferences to make sure it isn't set to download PDFs automatically.
